It is not uncommon to feel a little nervous about your initial appointment. Usually the concerns that people bring to discuss with a psychologist are of a personal nature and might even have been put off or avoided for some time. Strong feelings may be involved and disagreements with loved ones are also not uncommon. Please feel welcome to ask any questions that might help you feel more at ease or let us know if there is something that we can do to help make your consultation as useful as possible. This is especially the case for children and adolescents who will require a straight forwards explanation of the reasons for referral and what to expect. If in doubt about how to discuss this with your child please feel welcome to contact us prior to making an appointment.
